1. My dad turns 60 this month (holy cow how did that happen?!) and we’re throwing a big bash in NY this weekend to celebrate. In anticipation of the party mama and i have been talking about/pulling out old photos. This is one of my favorite pics of the parentals. Just after this was taken pops actually saved mama’s life by giving her CPR following a rope swing over a river accident. At the hospital the doctors told my dad “she’ll be fine… if she makes it through tonight.” They weren’t even married yet. Anyway, obviously everything worked out (it wasn’t the first or last time he had to rescue her - she also dove off a super high cliff into pretty shallow water….) and now we get to celebrate both of them getting old by looking through all their old hippy photos.
